Setting up ODRC with Vegamsoft is as easy as 1,2,3. An agreement with client is the starting point for Vegam Soft Solutions to initiate the resource recruitment and ODRC set up process. Clients will have ample opportunity to provide their requirements in the process. Once the agreement is reached weekly update will be provided to client on the progress. Governance plays a key role in the Offshore Dedicated Resource Centre (ODRC) success. One of the key offering of our model is that the client has full control over Resource training, delivery, quality of the outcome. Our Account Managers will always be in touch with staff to ensure that any resource needs are fulfilled to enable a seamless delivery.
VSS Account Managers will schedule a regular weekly/monthly meeting to address any client concerns and review the ODRC performance & needs in general.

The engagement maturity model would vary from business to business. We think that the there are two key stages that every business can potentially tab through.
- Initial stage where client can leverage the opportunity to offshore non-core activities and keep full management control onshore. This is suggested until the ODC team matures to take more value adding services.
- Once the team in Offshore matures and provide more confident to the management team, then clients can think to distribute some of the management control to ODC to leverage its full potential and cost advantage across various domains.
Our account managers will help you along the way to ascertain the maturity level of the ODC to leverage its potential time to time.
We have kept the ODRC pricing extremely simple. We have categorized the resource pools in to 3 categories based on the level of experience.

Every business model has its own challenges, Offshore Dedicated Resource Centre (ODRC) is not an exception. Though the cost savings and strategic advantages will push you towards ODRC model, you may want to ensure that your business model will be able to manage the ODRC resources to get the best out of them. It is very important to consider the challenges you may face in this model. We have listed few key areas that needs your attention.
Resource Management:
- Attrition Rate 10-15%
The attrition rate in India varies from 5% to 40% depending on the type of industry you operate in. VSS can help you analyze and mitigate the risk through various means during our interactions.
Mitigation:
- Establish employment contract(Bond) with staff at-least one year.
- Better pre-employment screening
- Trained backup resource in onsite or offshore
- Feeling not part of the organization
As the resource will be located completed outside the client ecosystem, this is unavoidable. The level of impact also depends on the nature of work performed by the staff in ODRC.
Mitigation:
- Once in a year visit by client to ODRC, could help boost the comfort level
- If possible, at least one trip to onsite by the staff may help to get with the team values better.
- Non-native English speakers (Moderate Language skills)
Normally the accent will be an issue to start with, but we would expect the gap to reduce over the period of time significantly.
Mitigation:
- No specific steps needed, other than leaving things to pick up in the due course.
- Attrition rate of 10-15%

Delivery Management:
- Time zone difference (GMT +4:30 / +5:30)
The time difference between India and UK is 4:30 hours from March to October. i.e India wakes up early. Time difference can be seen as positive and negative based on how we make use of the difference.
Mitigation:
- We can make the staff to start little late & end late to give a bit of comfort to the client.
- Potential need for special attention to look after offshore delivery
This is very important that client needs to have smart plans to ensure how your staff & their delivery are aligned to your goals. Note that VSS will not be monitoring the resource from delivery point of view.
Mitigation:
- Have a daily plan to engage the offshore staff.
- VSS will help you establish a regular status report to be sent on a daily (regular) basis.
- Off-shore training needs for specialized areas
As the resource is new and located in ODRC, you need to prepare a formal training plan for the work you are planning for the Staff you have recruited. It is your staff and do not underestimate the training needs for the staff. Proper training will ensure that the staff is integrated in to your value chain perfectly.
Mitigation:
- Prepare a formal training plan
- Ensure that the company values and quality expectations are communicated in the start and on a regular interval as you do for your onsite staff.
- Time zone difference(GMT +5:30)
- Potential need for special attention to look after offshore delivery

Finance Management:

This will be new in your list of things to be done when you sign up ODRC agreement. This monthly invoice will include the monthly charges incurred by VSS(staff cost & any miscellaneous). If you have any doubts you can clear them out, during weekly meeting with Account Managers.
